PSAT Test will be given to 10th and 11th graders who have signed up at registration. Testing will be at the school, in the computer lab the week of Oct. 9-13, 2023. Sign must be done online by registration. Space is limited. Students must create their Collegeboard account prior to testing day.
Students in the 8th, 9th, and 10th will take the PreACT8/9 and PreACT 10, in the spring at CCS.. Students will not need to sign up for the test, it will be given to all students in those grade levels.
PSAT/NMSQT is the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test which is a co-sponsored program by the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). This is a standardized test that provides firsthand practice for the SAT Reasoning Test. As an 11th grader, it also gives you a chance to enter National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) scholarship programs. The PSAT/NMSQT measures: critical reading skills, math problem-solving skills, and writing skills.
Practice tests may be taking by downloading the Bluebook app on the student's ipad or laptop computer. Students must create a Collegeboard account, open the Bluebook app, and begin to become familiar with the testing site.
